The Annual Tricky Feet Meet - 2012

The Tricky Feet Meet is a GREAT FUN “Walk-A-Thon” event where students walk, jump, run, hop, and skip through an obstacle course as many times as they are able. The children have a great time with their classmates going through the course while raising money for their school.
The obstacle course varies from year to year and by grade to keep it exciting and has included everything from a rubber chicken throw to whale balancing walks and hula-hoop mazes. All students are encouraged to participate in the fun – whether or not they have sponsors or pledge sheets. Friends and family are invited to participate as well or join in the fun by cheering for their favorite “athletes”. The event is held during the Students’ lunch recess period – see times below for this year.

Grade 2 – 12:20 – 12:45am
Grade 3 – 12:50 – 1:15pm
Grade 4 – 10:50 – 11:15am
Grade 5 – 11:50 – 12:15am
As in prior years, donations will not be directly tied to the number of laps your child completes. To help decide your donation amount, we suggest asking your child how many laps they think they will walk and make a donation related, but not limited, to that number. Students usually complete between 10-20 laps in the time allotted. Checks or cash should be enclosed in an envelope and submitted with your child’s pledge sheet/permission form by Wednesday May 23, 2012.
Please note that a signed permission slip is required to participate in the meet. Permission slips are available online at http://peternoyespto.com Students not participating in the meet will have regular recess. Each participant receives a meet ribbon. Water is provided (it can be hot) and Popsicles are provided to all students at the end of the meet.
Last year, approximately 75% of Noyes students and families participated! Let’s make 2012 a record-breaking year for participation.
